At Mankweng village, near the Springbok flats which are mostly devoted to huge commercial maize farms, a group of female smallholders farm under the guidance of Anna Molala.
Molala's permaculture fields grow seedlings to support about 147 permaculture gardens in her village. More than 1,000 people benefit from the healthy food and income-generating opportunities. In this video, Molala talks about the different seeds and challenges that they face as small farmers.
