President Donald Trump's daughter tweeted that "America is a nation built on the principle of religious tolerance" and urged people to "protect our houses of worship and religious centers."
But the tweet, which she ended with the hashtag #JCC, wasn't well received.
Most Twitter users made the same point in reply — and asked if she'd pass the message of religious tolerance on to her father.
And they also rhetorically questioned if people should show the same tolerance to other faiths, in particular Muslims, whom the president has been accused of demonizing via his controversial travel ban that a federal appeals court has since halted.
