Former deputy minister of education Mduduzi Manana will be making his second court appearance at the Randburg Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
Manana faces two counts of assault with intent to cause grevious bodily harm for hitting a woman at the Cubana night club in Fourways on last month.
The former deputy minister was caught on camera and the video went viral on social media, with many South Africans expressing their dissapointment and disgust.
After initially defending himself, he eventually apologised for his actions.
At his previous court appearance, Manana was granted R5,000 bail.
