Chef Reuben Riffel hails from Franschhoek in the Western Cape, he has a long and illustrious career including several restaurants. Reuben has over 250 cook books and various television shows and appearances under his Chef whites. His greatest contributions though is his continued support to local charitable events and organisations, including the United Nations World Food Programme. Chef Riffel’s philosophy is to keep things simple, his local community work focuses on people becoming more self-sustainable “it’s very easy to grow your own vegetables, even in a small little patch and I think in terms of community collaborations that can happen more in smaller communities”
